Note on Marriage
In 1851, the family (except for Bridget) lived at 34 Shuttle St, Glasgow. The record spelled the name as Teaven. Daniel worked as a wheel wright while daughter Mary worked in a flax mill.
In 1864 Daniel was apparently living alone with his illegitimate grandson, after his daughter Margaret died. At some point, probably before this, his wife and four other daughters left for America - maybe ashamed of the scandal and hoping to forge a better life for the remaining sisters. The Poor Law Relief applications shed light on this:

The mother's first husband William Weatherhead died about 7 years ago and during her widowhood had the above named child - her second. Husband Lazarus [Milnkie] to whom she was married in August 1862 and by whom she has left a child Constantine.
