Note on Marriage
In 1911 Michael and Augusta were living in Dublin, close to their son Thomas' family. The census return shows Michael's writing, which at age 72 was rather shaky. Interestingly he spelled words phonetically, such as "Cattolick" for Catholic, and "right" for write. A line was put thorough his half-finished return and someone else filled the form in for them.
The 1911 return shows them living at 19 Bray Road, Deans Grange, South Dublin. Their house was made from stone, brick or concrete and their roof from slate or iron. They occupied 2 rooms and had one window at the front of the house, and outside they had a fowl house. Two doors away was the Protestant mortuary chapel.
