Note on Husband: Edward J Teevan
Edward worked as a cloth finisher and lived with his wife and children in Eleventh Avenue, Kings, New York in 1900. Married ten years, he and Ellen had had five children but only three were living. Both Edward and Ellen were fully literate and still in their 30s with young children, they could already afford a servant, although their home was mortgaged.
In 1910, Edward worked as a store keeper in a dry goods store. He owened the family home free of a mortgage, and the family had a servant. They lived in Fifth Avenue, Kings, New York. All three children were still unmarried and at home.
Still in Kings in 1930, Edward was by then retired. He and Ellen lived alone and their home was worth $14500.
