Note on Marriage

Patrick was naturalized as an American citizen in 1893.

The family appear in the 1900 census in Bristol, Hartford, Connecticut. Patrick's mother was staying with them, and her birthdate was stated as unknown. Patrick owned the house, though it was mortgaged, and worked as a labourer. Both he and his wife could read and write.

Patrick was a factory worker and rented a house at 31 Franklin Street, Bristol in 1910. His wife and four children were still there with him.

In September 1918, he still lived at 31 Franklin Street, Bristol.

By 1920, the family lived in the same house, but it was owned by Patrick, with the help of a mortgage. He was working as a wire brewer (?) in a ball bearing factory.

In 1930 they were living at Harrison Street, still in Bristol, Connecticut. Francis and Margaret were still at home, but the other two children were no longer living with their parents. Patrick owned the house worth $15,000 and had a radio set. He worked as a wire drawer in a bearing factory.
