Note on Marriage

In 1910, Fred, Ida and Lilian were staying with the Denham's - ie his sister Mabel's family - in Bristol, Massachusetts. Fred, like his brother-in-law, was a bench hand at a jewellery shop.

In 1920, Fred rented a house in Woonsocket, Providence, Rhode Island. He was a tool maker in a tool shop, perhaps working with his brother Charles, who did the same work in the same area.

His registration card for WWII showed that he was still in Woonsocket, Rhode Island at that time. He mentioned Ida as his next-of-kin. He was 5 ft 6 with brown eyes, grey hair and a light complexion.

Note on Wife: Ida M Ludgate

Her parents were English.
