Note on Wife: Jane Bennett
Like Elizabeth Hannah, Jane stayed on in Devon as a servant when her family moved from England. At age 19 she was in Higher Market Street in Tavistock, Devon where she was listed as a general servant. Ten years later, in the 1871 census, she was back in North Brentor, Lamerton where she was a housekeeper for James Coram's family. He was a farmer of 12 acres of land and 4 acres of wood, and was Jane's uncle.
Could not find a record for her in the 1881 or 1891 censuses, so she either married or died after 1871.
